[SOLVED] Brother MFC-T910DW can't "Scan to a file" if using wired network ?

For some reason, the printer can't scan over the network if it got disconnected from WIFI, even though it has a LAN connection and other PC can still print to it.
Are there any special settings I need to configure so it can scan with LAN connection instead of WIFI ?

My guess is your printer/scanner does not switch automatically to the wired LAN connection when WiFi connection is lost.
You may have to use the settings menu on the printer/scanner to switch it over to wired LAN.

The IPs will be different on the printer as you swap from wireless to wired. You need to make sure that you either have both IPs setup in the computer for the printer or just use one connection. If it has a cable link, just use that, no need to have it on WiFi also.
