I bought this laptop second hand, it is a lenovo T520, I have always loved the thinkpads they are so utilitarian. So although the guy I bought it from said it would blue screen from time to time.. I negotiated a good price and more for the love of it than anything else.. I bought it.

Upon trying it out, it has BSOD'ed mostly when there is a higher system load it seems. figured I would get around to fixing it when I had more time from work and just continued using my other computer for day to day.

3 months later..

I have a need of a second computer now So I decided to tried swapping out the RAM...same problem..I also wiped the computer enitrely, re-installed win10...same problem...I have changed the HDD....well you can guess..lol

After reading through your forum last night I decided to test the original RAM again although I had already previously tried swapping it, just to be thorough and to get more data

I used memtest64, ran a full scan and recieved not one single error..

I have uploaded my DMP file and memtest86 file:

https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B3uWDEh78ZePNmNGTktfMlY1V1U

I figure it is something to do with a fake, faulty or incorrect driver..

Any help you can give me would be most appreciated, Thank you so much in advance

normally dx errors are related to graphics card and if I am right, the majority of errors relating to the creators update & graphics are Nvidia so perhaps they are the ones who need to release a patch to fix it.

you looking on google for answers is generally what I do if I don't know them :)
I might suggest you look at the posting instructions on the below site as since John relies on the debugger to solve these things and it isn't working properly, people over here might have another way to solve this for you: https://www.tenforums.com/bsod-crashes-debugging/

John solved it, just wanted to be sure, as I was a bit hasty in shouting it from the rooftops previously.

I disabled express card and SD card reader in bios.

Then update all my drivers apart from RICOH SD and express card and disabled them both in device manager also.

computer has been stable running for 48hours+ right now.

Thankyou So much both you guys. but Particularly johnbl!

update: just receieved a BSOD I have never got before. Don't think it was the original problem..

IRQL_DRIVER_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL caused by DXGMMS1.sys

I have recently updated to directx12 to play games.

no problems whilst playing games.

This time it bluescreened whilst I was using codeacademy.com in chrome. the only other program running was microsoft word 2016.

I looked up the BSOD and found this article: https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/953432/geforce-mobile-gpus/dxgmms1-sys-bsod-crash-on-recent-windows-10-patches/

one person suggested I turn off hardware acceleration in chrome which I have done and will see how that goes..

another suggestion was to disable the second INTEL display adapter which I will try if this doesn't work.

Apparently this is a common BSOD due to the anniversary update for win 10 x64.

And, sorry guys not trying to tell you guys what you know, its just if anyone else has the same problem as me and stumbles upon this in the future.

Thanks again.
