Question BSOD from a bugcheck 0x00000116

Hey everyone,

My PC has randomly been freezing and crashing when playing R6 or any intensive game. I've check the event viewer and it says this:
The bugcheck was: 0x00000116 (0xffff838e8625f010, 0xfffff8047da11218, 0xffffffffc000009a, 0x0000000000000004). A dump was saved in: C:\WINDOWS\MEMORY.DMP.

I've tried updating graphics drivers and chipset however nothing has resolved this.

your graphics stopped responding and windows attempted to reset the hardware but got a error

basically the error was returned from the graphics driver
Module name: nvlddmkm.sys

I would disable NVIDIA Share.exe just to free up the graphics resources it uses. (most likely fix)

your plug and play subsystem was trying to remove the graphics card usb 3.1 port
this is strange since it is generally built into the graphics card
vendor = nvidia and device = TU106 USB 3.1 Host Controller


I go into windows control panel and find the device in device manager and disable it.
(since I used to have issues with the device)
I just never used it.

So what I think happened was the graphics card ran out of resources, windows attempted to reset the GPU hardware, it caused the usb 3.1 port to disconnect since it is attached to the graphic card as part of the reset of the graphics card and process just took too long to complete and a video timeout bugcheck was called.

I would take a load off of the card and remove the nvidia share.exe, disable the nvidia 3.1 host controller (just plug the devices into another port if you need to)
