[SOLVED] BSOD while downloading game via Steam

Hello, first off I wasn't sure where to post this, since I've never used this forum before, but I need some advice or direction since I am sorely lacking in technical know-how when it comes to PC's.

Been having issues with my PC BSOD'ing whenever I try to download a certain game through the Steam application recently.

Below is the details Microsoft gives me whenever I reboot my PC. I'm currently running on Windows 7 64x

Is it ONLY this program? Others are downloadable?

1st check would be: open STEAM, go to steam/settings/downloads, and "clear download cache".

So far this is the only program that's been causing it, and only just recently when downloading a specific game (Hunt: Showdown) within Steam. I'll try clearing the cache and re-attempting the download afterwards.

Edit: I should note I've downloaded multiple other games of a comparable size both with Steam and outside of Steam with no issues until a few days ago

Edit2: Clearing the cache via Steam still didn't prevent the bluescreen. Same as before, while trying to download the same game, at varying times during the download it will simply bluescreen. Worth nothing I have plenty of space for the game to install itself with 240gb worth of free reign to give it.

Hi, there's likely a BIOS update for your system. As cherry blossoms said above, you are using BIOS version F1. Your motherboard has 2 revisions. I'm not sure which revision that you have, but both revisions have newer BIOS's available than F1.

Don't update yet. Always make sure you have the right motherboard link first, and never update when you might lose power for any reason. More answers should be on the way.

Edit: Now that I look at it again, if he has F1, then it's likely he has Rev 1.0 of the motherboard since that version isn't available on Rev 2.X

if you not sure which revision you have, it should be printed on the motherboard near the GPU slots.

I would have thought there were Killer drivers for them but I can only find win 10 drivers

Worth noting that today I've factory reset my PC in preparation for a somewhat clean slate after seeing all this, so I now run on Win10 instead of Win7.

I'm about to take out the WIFI driver and replace it with a USB-based one since this one is old and has lost its antenna after multiple moves cross-country. The new one I'll be using is a:
"Techkey Wireless USB WiFi Adapter, 1200Mbps Dual Band 2.42GHz/300Mbps 5.8GHz/867Mbps High Gain Dual 5dBi Antennas Network WiFi USB 3.0 for Desktop" or so amazon says.

As for the BIOS and everything I definitely need to update it, I've just never done so before so I'll have to make sure I know what I'm doing beforehand. Edit: Just found it, motherboard is indeed Rev 1.0

I don't know if its worth noting, but this was a Pre-built I bought from Cyberpower-PC back in 2013 that has since had a GPU, heatsink, and PSU replaced inside of it.

Also might be a little late in coming, but I'll try to post some specs since that might come in handy.
