I've tried the usual methods of getting help on this game, so far, no joy. I
thought I'd try the experts on XP & see if someone could shed some light on
the problem.

After about 2 minutes I get a blue screen on my XP system with the message
"The
problem appears to be caused by the file NV4_DISP.DLL" Folllowed by "Page
fault found in a non paged area" I'm assuming the file in question is a
video driver for my FX5900XT. I have 768 megs of Ram, since page faults are
usually a memory problem, I switched some memory around & it didn't make a
difference. I am using the latest drivers for my video card. (66.93) I have
a dual-boot system with Win98. I first installed the game on Win98, but the
audio stutter was so bad you couldn't understand what people were saying.
Installing to XP Pro cured the stutter, but now I have this damned crash.
Does anyone have a clue? Steam or Valve support has never answered any of
the 5
emails sent to them since 11-18.

(I will never again buy any game that requires Steam activation to play).

Thanks

Hi

Try uninstalling your video card via Device Manager, reboot and let Windows
re-detect the card. Then install the latest drivers from:
