Question Budget-futureproof psu?

These are my CURRENT specs:
i7 870
p7h55m pro
4x2gb ddr3 1 333mhz
TUF GTX 1650 Super
lc power 6650 v2.2 (bought it used, no issues with it since i got it - 1.5 years)
120gb ssd and 250gb hdd

Im going to pickup the motherboard tomorrow and im going to replace the cpu mbo and ram for this

i3 12100f
ASUS PRIME H610M-A D4
Kingston Fury 2x8GB 3200mhz cl16

I think that i should change this psu asap because i dont want to use something untrusted and have to think that it could die and kill every component with it. So i want to change it and on new one leave some room for a gpu upgrade in the future. Since competition is very good now im not going to upgrade the cpu, ill just upgrade new platform in case i needed the upgrade, right now i just need something that i wouldnt need to worry about dying and to have some room to upgrade the gpu to ex. rx 6600 in worst case

You're correct in that.

Depends on what GPU you plan to go with.

RX 6600 is 132W GPU and 550W unit will do.

But if you go with any other GPU, PSU max wattage range can change. For example:
  • RTX 4090 needs 1200W PSU, preferably one with ATX 3.0 standard. 1500/1600W PSU would be preferred.
  • RTX 4080/3090/3090 Ti needs 1000W PSU.
  • RTX 3080/3080 Ti/3070 needs 850W PSU.
  • RTX 3060 Ti/3060 needs 650W PSU.
All RTX 40-series GPUs need either PSU with ATX 3.0 standard, or adapter cable, where the end that goes to GPU, is the new 16-pin PCI-E connector.
All RTX 30-series GPUs need the semi-new 12-pin PCI-E connector (there are adapters for that).

Good/great quality PSUs to go for are: Seasonic Focus/PRIME or Corsair RM/RMi/RMx/HX/HXi/AX/AXi series.

CX and CV-series, at best, are mediocre quality units. Now, if OP would have office PC without dedicated GPU, these PSUs would do. But since OP has gaming rig with dedicated GPU, neither of the two are good enough.

That being said, and from OP store, cheapest i'd get is Seasonic Core GM-650,

Well, I would get the CXF over the SS Core because it's a better unit overall.

Simple: warranty period given to it.

Corsair doesn't trust their CXF series to last longer than 5 years, hence 5 years warranty.
Seasonic Core GM series has 7 years of warranty.

IF Corsair CXF would be as good as Seasonic Core GM or better, it would have 7 years or even 10 years of warranty. But it does not.

RTX 3060 Ti.
It's 200W GPU and Nvidia suggests 600W PSU for it. Also, when to factor in GPU transient power spikes (which can double GPU power draw), GPU can pull ~400W for split seconds. And if you were to add the rest of the system at it, at ~200W, total would be ~600W, making 650W PSU barely enough for it.

For one step up, RTX 3070, which is 220W GPU, i'd go with 750W, or better yet, 850W PSU. Namely due to the GPU transient power spikes.

That is a part to keep an eye too and looking at that do i think that a 3070 would be fine too, but that gpu sits at a point where the 12100 starts to show it lacks some compute power. In the next vid you start to see abit of a drop off in fps when using the 3070,
