I am making a budget gaming PC for my friend. I went and picked out some parts for it and wondering if it would be good enough for him. His budget is 600 bucks.

He pretty light gamer but wanted to have a machine that could game decently at 1080p. He doesnt care if its max but at least medium settings. If there is better options let me know

Seems alright, two problems though, first of all its much better to get a quad core cpu instead of dual core, quad is pretty much the norm these days. Secondly you should add a cpu cooler to that list, don't want a crappy stock cooler overheating the pc.

I think this will be great for him after talking to him. Its a starting point and if he needs a optical drive its an easy add on.
 


not many people use optical drives anymore and if he does intend to use one then i will look for another case ... as this does not accommodate optical drives .
