Budget Sound Card

I'm a noob when it comes to sound cards so.. I'm looking for a cheap sound card that will be better then the on-board soundcard on my motherboard Biostar H61MH because I might have to buy a Creative Fatal1ty headset. I only wonder/ask if a sound card would be necessary in order to have them sound decent. My budget is about 30$ max (i know not alot). My neighbors in the apartment next to me complain when I play bf3 because my Z-2300's are to loud or when I start raging...

Most modern motherboards have decent sound so a cheap sound card will be an improvement but not much of one... Creative do one for around £20 OEM...

Which fatal1ty headset?

Loud != better. I see try the headset first and see if you can hear any issues.

Wanted to make sure you weren't using a USB headphone as they use their own soundcard.

I said loud != good. (!= means does not equal) Just because something is loud doesn't mean it has good quality. Try those headphones on the SC you already have. If you hear things you don't like, then get a SC. No point in buying if you don't need.
