I have only been playing for a few hours, blundering around to see what's
what. Came across a serious bug.

If I go to the "Rail" Age, (the one with the rail track and the large
machine complex) and jump on the train, drive to complex, uncouple front
wagon, link back so I can board train again, drive it back to start. Go away
do something else, go back on train and the wagon suddenly appears.

If you link off the train whilst it in transit, it can go really bananas.
Drive to complex, link off before getting there. Go back and run all the way
to the complex back to train. Board train and go forwards and suddenly your
back at the start of the track.

Weird.

I'm about two-thirds way through and have been stopped by a number of
bugs - not the train one though. Had no troubles there. I won't describe
them because they might be spoilers and may not happen to you, but one
particular bug in the Ahnonay age really got my back up.

I haven't grasped the names of the Ages yet. Is that the "Islands in the
Water" Age, or the "Just a long corrdor" Age or the "Big round room with a
clock thingy in it" Age?

The age with the train and the big factory is called Er'cana (the
industrial age). The island in the water is Ahnonay, it was built by
Kadish. The first small section where you enter and link into Ahnonay
proper is called the Cathedral.

The big round room you enter at the beginning is called Rolep. Later
on you make flying visits to Myst and K'veer, which is the place at the
very end of the original Myst.

Ahnonnay is the name of the one with the same age/different times.

Ercanna has the train.

Some bugs are caused by Alt-tabbing out of the game, which I myself do quite
often. If you stop to look at a walkthrough or take and save a screenshot,
then alt-tab back in, you may lose your mouse functionality in the game (no
hotspot appears).

Consider that to avoid bugs.
