Hey all! You guys helped me do my last build in maybe 2007 or so, and you were the best. I'm looking to put together a PC with the sole purpose of running WoW and browsing whatever. As cheap as possible with the ability to stream WoW is the goal. Thanks for your time & assistance! 💚

Approximate Purchase Date: Inside a month or so

Budget Range: $800-$1000

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Playing wow, browsing

Are you buying a monitor: No, nor mouse & keyboard

Parts to Upgrade: Everything but keyboard, mouse, and monitor.

Do you need to buy OS: Yes, last purchase was long ago

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: None

Location: SC

Parts Preferences: None

Overclocking: Unsure

SLI or Crossfire: Unsure

Your Monitor Resolution: Unsure

Additional Comments: Going as cheap as possible to comfortably run WoW

And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: Merely for playing an old MMORPG

Wow at 4K with that budget might not be doable. You will need to up your budget to cater to a beefy GPU. To add, the 7800X3D is out of stock except for Amazon where the processor alone costs ~700USD.

That being said, here's my submission;

The smaller capacity SSD is for your OS, app's and launchers, while the larger drive is for your game(s). This isn't set in stone as such should serve as a template you can manipulate before pulling the trigger.

Hey, thanks for responding! I may have been confused, I don't need it to be 4k, when I answered that question I looked up the monitor I have and put what the max on it is. I don't need it any better than the 1080p or whatever my PS5 runs at.

^ Is what you'd stated originally. If it's 1080p, then you can dial down the processor and the cooler, perhaps.
Yeah I goofed, I misunderstood what it was asking for there, but I changed it so it should be ok now. Sorry 😔

Here's something, tweaked. Lowered the processor, upped the board and ram's quality. Dropping to a 650W unit wasn't shaving off much from the budget hence why I left the 750W unit in there. You can add fans and an aftermarket cooler down the road but the build should get our feet wet.

I would wait to see what the rest of the community has to offer in terms of their suggestions.
