i Feel like you are loosing to much money of your budget to get the i5 2500k, i mean, its the best but seems a bit of overkill, why? i dont see an aftermarket cooler or something to cooldown your cpu, so that means you dont want to overclock, I5 2500k IS ALL ABOUT TO OVERCLOCK.

Gaming Is about Graphics Card, Memory and Cpu. A Quad Core lets Call it Phenom X4 Its Enough to Play all the games in the market, all the games use 2 cores, theres like 10 titles that use more than 2 cores. So my suggestion is this:

Intel : Go for an I3 , a Gtx 560 ti and 4gigs of memory. you will get good Performance and you can upgrade in the future.

Amd: You Can go With The Top Hardware with your current Budget and will get Amazing Performance and will not have to upgrade atleast in 2 years.

So if you are a gammer on the budget and that means, Less than 1000dlls , Go Amd, If you are a gmmer with 1000 or more dlls, go Intel.

I really , really wish you would go amd, so you dont waste your money, if you want a fast Pc, just get a phenom x4, an ssd of 60 gigs to store ur Os and a gtx 560 ti you will feel more than pleased trust me, I did.

If you go amd, get an am3+ mobo with 2 pci express ports with (16x8) and you will be able to upgrade to new 8 core cpu Bulldozer from amd that its gonna be realesed this year or next year and be able to get another gtx 560 ti in the future.

i will give you a Link on tomshardware News, read it, they already did the job for you.

My current specs are
DONT EVEN REMEMBER IT WELL
CPU
Intel Core 2 Duo 2.80ghz

Ram
2 BG DDR2 RAM

Motherboard
MSI LGA 775

PSU
500W (SO NOISY)

Graphics Card
MSI Nvidia Geforce 9800gt

Some 500gb hardrive -.-

Ok i did this before going to school, if i remember right, theres a web, that its good for buying online on australia, dont really remember iam gonna browse a little and maybe i will get you the web, if i remember correctly they had good Combos and sales.

Changing it to..........
AMD Phenom II X6 1055T-$160
G.Skill Ripjaws F3-12800CL9D-8GBRL 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3-$65
MSI GeForce GTX 560 Twin Frozr II Overclock -$210
Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB WD10EALX $69
Just under $800

Do i still need a bigger PSU for the overclocked gpu?

So you're just overclocking the GPU, not the CPU? I'd suggest spending the extra $20 to upgrade the Phenom II to its Black Edition form so that you can overclock it, either now or when you feel that your computer needs a bit more processing power...

I think that that 700W PSU should be good enough...

and btw rebates (aka Mail-In Rebates (sometimes MIR)) are where after you buy the product, you put the UPC in an envelope along with a rebate form and send it to the company, and if you filled out everything correctly and they don't lose anything, they may send you some money back.
So just as a random example, here's a rebate instructions form:

1.- first Of all, The gpu comes Overclocked from factory, u dont need to mess with anything, and if you read what he wrote he is buying from that website he is from australia.

2.- The Cpu that i recommended Is a Phenom X4 BlackEdition, Theres no Need to Spend The extra Cash, Because , Again If you read the whole thread, you will see how i said that he will be able to Upgrade to the New Cpu Bulldozer that amd will release this year that is actually a 8 core Cpu.

3.- If you Could find the rebate option in that website it would be great, i didnt find one, nor do i find combos or sales.

thank you for your suggestions.

*** what every body else said, keep your build. Replace the mobo with this Z68

http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&DEPA=0&Order=BESTMATCH&Description=arock+z68

Only problem with this is it only has one pci x16 slot (or whatever its called) so you wont be able to crossfire. But most of the time when people say they plan on crossfiring, they never do it.

$41 cheaper, with that $41 buy a Coolermater Hyper 212+ cpu cooler to overclock the i5 2500k.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&DEPA=0&Order=BESTMATCH&Description=coolermaster+hyper+212%2B

with the other $11 buy thermal paste or something.

the psu will be enough for that an another card, i Hardly Recommend to Stick with the phenom x4, why? because the mobo i choosed for you its future proof, you can Upgrade to the new Incoming Amd Cpu called Bulldozer, that will be a 8 Core Cpu, i dont see the point in getting phenom x6 right now, if you can upgrade to a better one Later, and besides, the one you choosed is not a Black Edition, Black edition are for gamers. Phenom x4 BE is Better than that Cpu you choosed for gaming.

I Suggest Getting Gtx 560 TI read this please.
http://www.anandtech.com/show/4344/nvidias-geforce-gtx-560-top-to-bottom-overclock/9
While the gtx 560 is only 10 or 15 fps more slower than the ti, The Ti have been proved to be more effective in new games getting almost 30% more in performance.

With an SSD, your System Will Fly, AND IAM NOT KIDDING, SSD sata 3 on a system will make you feel like you are flying, everything else will look slow to you after testing the SSD, booting pc in 4 secs, not delay at opening programs or Multi tasking with Browser and other apps. From my point of view, ssd seems like a legit way of spending your money.

1.- Thanks for Sending My efforts To ***.

2.- I think that if you read everything that i wrote you will find, that Getting a I5 2500k Exessive for his Budget.

3.- Why Dont you get in the Website and Build a I5 2500k , with 8 gbs of ram 1866, a z68 mobo with 2 pci express x16 that is sli or crossfire ready, a gtx 560 or ti, a psu, an ssd or hd, with dvd player, a coolermaster hyper 212 and thermal paste, with 850 dlls. that Said remember that the website he is buying from is this one : http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php

4.- Dont come here and post Items from neweeg randomly.

5.- Thank you for your time and Effort Writing in his post.

And again, he is from australia.
