Hey Guys'

I know theres an imense amount of "what do I get threads" and I am sorry to add another, but in the area I am in there just is not any qualified people to give me good advice. I built my last machine from reviews from this community (Q6600/ Asus P5NE etc etc)

I won a I7- 970 at a company function so I am building my machine around that processor. Pretty good freebie if you ask me :) I strickly use my PC for WOW gaming, I am a high end raider in a Top 30 US guild. I want to maximize my FPS the best I can, I use a considerable amount of addons, wow is releasing a 64 bit client in the future, I am very excited about this!

I have my heart set on the Asus Rampage Board, Not sure if I should get the formula or the Extreme, hopefully you can help with that decision. Also I currently have 2 X 250GTS BFG cards that I will be using till I free up a little more cash. I'd like to get the right stuff and sacrifice the new cards off the bat.

Case-
Harddrive-
Ram-
Powersupply-
MotherBoard-
CPU Fan-

GFX Cards- (For the future DX11)

I really appreciate any help.

<---NOTE---> This is a repost, I posted in the wrong forum on the last one. Sorry my bad

That i7 is pretty good but it's designed for multithreaded apps like photoshop and rendering etc. At a budget like that you can get something a lot better for gaming and also get the graphics card(s) youre going to need right off the bat without a problem. Personally i would try to sell that CPU and GPU's and go for something like this:

Prices from www.newegg.ca

Intel Core i5-2500k - $219.99 (Will easily outperform that i7 in games.)
2x4GB G.Skill RipjawsX 1600Mhz - $66.99
GIGABYTE GA-Z68A-D3H-B3 - $129.99 (x8/x8 SLI and SATA 3/USB 3.0)
Samsung Spinpoint F3 1TB - $74.99
Coolermaster HAF 922 - $89.98
Seasonic SS-850HT 850W - $124.99
Noctua NH-D14 - $99.99

That brings you to just over $800 and has everything youre going to need with $700 left for graphics. I would suggest a $300 GTX 570, i looked at some benchmarks and on WoW Cataclysm and on ultra high settings with everything maxed and 2560x1600 resolution, the MINIMUM FPS is over 60. Also with that case and that cooler, youre going to be able to get that i5 to 5Ghz no problem.
