Hello,

I am looking to build 2 PCs. 1 for $900 and one for $1200.

I would like to have them both ready for VR.

The only thing I know so far, would be the Sapphire Radeon RX 480 (8GB), as it seems best for price/performance. At least for the $900 PC. For the $1200 I assume I can go for an ever better one.
I'd like to have an SSD, I can always buy a HDD for storage later on.

My biggest question would be AMD or Intel, and then what motherboard. The rest I could put together myself.

I live in Switzerland and I use this website for the components: https://www.digitec.ch/en/s1/tag/pc-components-76 (US dollar is almost identical to Swiss Francs).

If your just gaming (no streaming or video editing) a Intel Skylake i5 would be your best choice paired with DDR4 RAM. As far as the GPU goes I agree the RX 480 would be a good choice for the $900 system and you might be able to get the GTX 1070 for the $1200 system. Motherboard depends on CPU, for a non-K CPU I would go either H110, B150 or H170. For K series CPU's (overclockable) I would go with a Z170 MB. No matter which board you pick just make sure its DDR4.

Using PCPartpicker will help you choose compatible parts or I can help you with those builds.
