Haven't pulled the trigger on a new system yet, still thinking of upgrading old. Trouble is, cost is almost the same on both, thanks to TigerDirect's CPU/MOBO combo today. It's an AMD FX-8320 and a GB GA-970A-DS3P MOBO. Yesterday I was thinking of upgrading my AMD Athlon II X4 635 processor on a GB MA74GM-S2 MOBO to the Athlon X4 750K on a ASRock FM2A88X MOBO. My current system only supports DDR2, so I pretty much have to have a different MOBO anyway. The FX-8320 is an 8-core, more is better, right? Will I be able to keep my OEM OS (WIN7) or must I get another one?

Hyper 212 is great, Kingston HyperX Blu 2x4 gb @1600 MHz, yes you can install that card, but to be on the safe side I would check and see if it is compatible and a r7 260x is practically rebranded 7XXX...

My old system records TV programs for the wife (OTA antenna) so she can replay them through my XBOX running as a Windows Media player. I should be able to install the card into the new system, right? Any suggestions on what kind/brand DDR3 ram to get? I'm looking for (1) gaming (2) internet surfing, (3) email. That's pretty much it, some genealogy research thrown in. Would you recommend the Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO or the Hyper TX3 EVO? My old GPU is the ATI Radeon HD 5700 series. Should I spring for the Radeon R7 260X?

Thanks Newbbuilder11. I'm making the decision to get the CPU/MOBO combo from TigerDirect. I looked at NewEgg and they want $160 just for the CPU by itself. TigerDirect has one heck of a deal on this one. I see you use the Kingston Blu in your setup, must work OK for you, that's good enough for me. I wonder if my Cooler Master 460 W PSU is enough for the new system or not..

I would upgrade to a 550 to be on the safe side.
