Recently I posted a thread regarding a $2,000 list of parts for a system... loved all the suggestions people had about it. There was a lot of great ideas, but I decided on an AWESOME AMD list @Lucky_SLS built for me (linked below). The only problem is that I wasn't super about the case in the list... it didn't really stand out to me.

I was hoping I could get some different opinions from all you creative folk revolving around an ITX case that is; minimalist/modern, compact/durable (needed for Military travel), and I prefer a porthole I can see the parts through. I saw a few cool cases that integrated wood, which I found them appealing. An example from the previous thread that was within my taste was the NR200P by Cooler Master, but I don't believe it fits the 'build's needs'.

Please feel free to change/remove parts so that the components are able to align with your image, but please keep it around $2,000 without sacrificing much, if any, power.

If you go with the NR200P Max, you get a PSU and an AIO cooler bundled with the case, so that removes some compatibility issues but with your Merc310. I could name a number of itx cases but that would bring up compromises on some areas, like the Lian-Li Dan A4-H20,limits how much storage you have in it.

Fractal's Ridge was mentioned in your other thread but what sort of an itx case are you looking for?

Just watched an awesome video about the T1 and MAN is this case clean! Using many of the parts you all listed for me in the previous thread (RAM, SSD, CPU, etc.) I found a different MoBo and ran with the 4080S to build what I think to be a pretty solid list! It goes a little over my budget, but here’s what I’ve come up with…

List

going tower style or mATX is easier with the 2k budget:

here is a sub 30litre case alternative:

swapped the mobo and the case:

The XFX Merc 7900XTX is a 3 slot card, the case has 4 pcie slots. Use the slim fans at the bottom. Or, you can have the GPU fans do all the work.

P.S.: The case is a new launch. I would have bought it for my PC otherwise XD

Looks awesome and I love the case! I think you’re right about mATX, plus it’s not as limiting. I think this is what I’ll probably end up running with! I notice a 4080S that occasionally has a price drop that brings it similar to the cost of the XTX, so that’s the only change I’d probably end up making. Thanks again for the effort Lucky!
