Will be using primarily for Gaming, VR, Modded games. Cyberpunk/Oblivion remaster in vr for easy examples, any new future releases really.
Last build was a 3080 and found it just didn't have the juice without big sacrifices. So, pulled the trigger on a 5090 and building around that now.

Trying to keep to somewhat a budget of under 5k but also trying to get close to best performance. Looking for any gotchas or better picks.
Also, trying to figure out case & monitor, if any suggestions. Good Airflow over Aesthetics

*Edited - prices and links now corrected

*Edit#2 - Thanks alot everyone for the help, i have now gone with what's listed.

The following prices are mostly from Amazon/ComputerUniverse rather than pcpartpickers
So your preferred sites for purchase are https://www.computeruniverse.net/en and Amazon.ie? I pulled your location from the URL and top right hand corner of PCPartPicker. If the location is wrong, please specify where you're located not to mention your preferred sites for purchase in case the community has cheaper alternatives to source parts for your build

I looked up the Part # for the ram and it shows up with this;
https://www.corsair.com/us/en/p/memory/cmk32gx5m2b6000c30/vengeance-32gb-2x16gb-ddr5-dram-6000mt-s-c30-memory-kit-black-cmk32gx5m2b6000c30?srsltid=AfmBOoovDdIkT1JZQ6qk7e1f03jpiEIB2alJhUO-3pF4gk0mNgSYFg9N#tab-techspecs
those are ram kits designed for Intel's 600 and 700 chipset platforms, which might lead to instability issues but in the event that you do encounter an issue, return the ram and look for AMD's E.X.P.O advertised on the ram's packaging/support page.

I would spend less on motherboard, and use the money towards more ram.

Thanks, i was actually contemplating going to 64gb. Tomahawk mobo was on offer appears its 10€ more but from comparing i see no difference so Aorus might be the better choice.

*Edit - gonna stick with the MSI since only 10€ more as its seems to be better when using more than 1 m.2, which i will be using. Gonna up the Ram alright though

great spot definitely would've tripped on that

I would change a bit more than he did. Add a 1TB drive for windows and programs keep the 2TB for games.
The 9800x3d saves a good bit and if this is where you buy the 1200 watt PSU is a good bit cheaper.

Thanks alot, going to change to that powersupply nice 10yr warranty too and will throw in a OS drive too.
I do a fair bit of multitasking with the odd stream, so will leave it at that overkill 9950X3D, but will do a bit more research if i do actually need it for double the price as it would be a nice saving.
