Hello,I AM planning to build a gaming computer and i m in great confusion on how to select mah graphic card and processor
AS far as processor i am considering a intel i3 - 540
AND for graphic card i am considering a nvidia gts 450
IS THIS A RIGHT CHOICE AND WITH THESE CONFIG. CAN I SECURE MY FUTURE FOR GAMES
ALSO IF SOMEBODY CAN SUGGEST ME A MOTHERBOARD CAMPATIBLE WITH THESE 2.IT WILL B REALLY HELPFUL

THANKS.

Well, the i3 and the GTS 450 are pretty bottom end, so no, you can't secure your future for games.

In terms of motherboard, the current Intel CPU's are socket 1155, and you'd want a motherboard that is H67, P67, or Z68, depending on your budget or other needs.

But we'd have to know how much you want to spend, and how long you want your system to last, as well as what games you want to play.

If you can only afford the i3-2100 now, then get it! Its An awesome gaming CPU, It Beats Any Core2Quad And Even The Phenom II X4 970 In Some Games!

Now The GTS 450 Is A Good Card, But You Can Get A Radeon HD 5770/6770(Both Are Same Hardware, if the 5770 is not available then get the 6770) For A little bit more money and its worth it!

With An i3-2100 And A 5770/6770 , You Are Definitely Good To Go For 2,3 More Years!
And Maybe If You Save Money Along The Way, You Can Pop In AN i5-2500K Later on! (i5-2500K uses the same 1155 socket)!

Now, Regarding The Motherboard, Get A P67/Z68 Boards If You Plan To Overclock!
Now, The i3-2100 doesnt overclock much, so these motherboards are for future if you get them! I mean for the time when you get in i5-2500K, because they overclock superbly!
A P67/Z68 Mobo doesn't have onboard graphics, but as you are getting a GPU thats of no issue!
But, if you want onboard video and aren't planning to overclock at all, then get a H61,H67 Mobo's!

This is my recommended Mobo :-

Depends greatly on budget but mostly I like what djabhi003 suggested. Just so you know if you're planning on playing on a 1920x1080 monitor, you will at best get medium settings out of many demanding games. A 6850 or 6870 is the minimum I would recommend to anyone with hopes of playing games at decent (high-ish) settings with that resolution.

Still, a 5770 is no slouch and for many older and less demanding games it's all you need.
