Hello guys
im building a office pc for my brother with a good budget ( around 1200€ including monitor)

i decided go for ryzen 8700G because my brother doesn't care about gaming (though im gonna add a good psu so he can have the option to add a gpu later if he ever wants it)

my choices :
case DEEPCOOL MATREXX 30 SI
case fans FAN ARCTIC BIONIX P120 WHITE 120MM
psu Be Quiet Pure Power 12 M 650W Μαύρο Τροφοδοτικό Υπολογιστή Full Modular 80 Plus GoldBe Quiet Pure Power 12 M 650W Μαύρο Τροφοδοτικό Υπολογιστή Full Modular 80 Plus Gold
motherboard Asus TUF GAMING B850M-PLUS WIFI Motherboard Micro ATX με AMD AM5 SocketAsus TUF GAMING B850M-PLUS WIFI Motherboard Micro ATX με AMD AM5 Socket
ram RAM G.SKILL F5-6000J3636F16GX2-FX5 FLARE X5 32GB (2X16GB) DDR5 6000MHZ CL36 DUAL KIT AMD EXPO
ssd Kingston KC3000 SSD 2TB M.2 NVMe PCI Express 4.0Kingston KC3000 SSD 2TB M.2 NVMe PCI Express 4.0

do i need to change anything? i believe all the parts are compatible. my only fear is does the ryzen 7 8700G gonna be stable with 6000 cl 36 ram? should i stick with 5200 cl36 ram for better stability? and should i go for b650 and save some money? my secondary motherboard option is the

ASUS TUF B650M-PLUS GAMING WIFI (AM5)

(in my experience though when i go for the cheaper motherboard in the end i regret it lol)

and as for the monitor im thinking about the

Gigabyte M27Q 68.6 cm (27") 2560 x 1440 pixels Quad HD LED Black

any recommendations or advices are welcome.

You can go with a B650 chipset motherboard but you will need to have some sort of BIOS flashing tool on the motherboard like Q-Flash Plus/Flash BIOS/BIOS Flashback since you will need to flash/update the BIOS in order to drop in the 8700G. The 2nd choice for your board, you could go for it though what are you losing for 100 Euros?

The sweet spot for DDR5 platforms is actually DDR5-6000MHz, you've got the right ram inclusive of the frequency.

I've worked with the Matrexx 30, the non SI variant has a tempered glass side panel. You could look into this case;

or this case;

though the case should be a thing of personal preference, IMHO.

That being said, the parts listed above, as is, are all going to work out of the box. You get 👍 points for picking up a good PSU for your brother's build!

i see thanks for the reply
one more question does the Be Quiet Pure Power 12 650W Μαύρο Τροφοδοτικό Υπολογιστή Full Wired 80 Plus Gold have any difference in the quality? with the Be Quiet Pure Power 12 M which i have chosen except the modular option? if the quality is the same im thinking to go for non modular psu and save some money.
The case doesnt have window and without gpu it does have plenty of space for few extra cables.

For an office PC you could just get a 7600, B series board and you don’t exactly need 2TB of NVME or NVME at all and you don’t need 32GB of RAM. I’d also go 4K for the monitor because that’s better for office work vs high refresh. Maybe get what the guy wants, which is an office PC, rather than giving him “options” that you want them to have.

Honestly though I’d look into a base M4 Mac Mini. It’s €700, slap on a €100 2TB thunderbolt/USB4 external SSD rather than pay for the upgrade and you’ve got a tiny computer that sips power and performs better than the 8700G.

Nvme is priced basically the same as SATA 2.5 ssd's these days so little point in getting a 2.5 if an Nvme slot is available. 2tb prices have come way down too. Get more than you think you need, and not worry about it.

DDR5 6000 CL30 is preferred, but that Flare-X CL36 is expo ram and should still be fine for an office PC.

Overall I say you did pretty good.

You are likely to be fine.
The 8500G needs bios level 1807 ro be supported.
That bios level was released on 10/2023.
All motherboards made since then will incorporate the then available newest bios.

In the event you get old stock, have the store resolve the issue with a new exchange, or use a supported processor to do the flash for you.

On ram, the fastest speed is an overclocked speed.
If that does not work, there are slower default speeds that will.
faster ram is particularly helpful for integrated graphics.

That B650 board has bios flashback, so no need for a support CPU to do the flash.
i see though i believe im gonna go for the b850M it have better ram compatibility and more pcie lanes.. its gonna give my brother more options in the future.

one more thing should i go for the Be Quiet Pure Power 12 650W Μαύρο Τροφοδοτικό Υπολογιστή Full Wired 80 Plus Gold ?
from what i see they are almost the same (quality wise) but the PURE POWER 12 M | 650W cost 20€ because of the modular feature.
did i miss anything?
Because of non window case if the quality are the same i dont see any big reason to go for the modular psu. (if the quality of psu is the same)
