Any suggestions for building a heavy duty photo editing rig (i.e., lots of multitasking with large files in Photoshop, Lightroom, Photomechanic, Bridge) for around $2000? I'll be running some proprietary software that extracts images and renders them on backgrounds. I do very little video editing and 3D work.
I'm an experienced system builder, but I would be fine buying something off the shelf and then upgrading.
I am running dual monitors, one being a Eizo FlexScan SX2262W at 1920x1200.
This is my thought:
CPU :: $580 :: i7-4930K
GPU :: $350 :: GTX 770
MoBo :: $220 :: ASRock x79 Extreme 4
RAM :: $180 :: G.Skill Ripjaws X (16gb)
SSD :: $170 :: SanDisk Ultra Plus
HD :: $90 :: WD Green (2TB)
Drive :: $60 :: Pioneer BDR-208DBK
Case :: $100 :: Fractal Design Define R4
PSU :: $135 :: Seasonic M12II SS-850
Cooler :: $95 :: Thermaltake CLW0217 Water 2.0 Extreme
Fan :: $11 :: Antec Spot Cool Blue LED Fan
