I am building a PC for mainly AutoCad.

Here is what I came up with:

Video Abit RADEON 9600 SE 128MB DDR AGP 8X DVI/TVO
-- Just needed S-Video ~$88
Ram 1GB DDR400 PC3200 -- Is this the best RAM to get?
MB MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum 939
CPU Athlon64 3500 939
HD Seagate 160GB SATA
OS Windows XP Home
DVD +/- RW Memorex

Any advice/suggestions?

Thanks!

Wow, that is a fairly weak video card.

$88 is not a good price for a weak card like Radeon 9600SE. If you spend some extra, then you can get Radeon 9600 Pro.

Make sure that you get 90nm Athlon64 3500+

WOW! I had not realized that there were so many price differeces with the RAM.

For 1GB DDR400 PC3200 the prices seem to range from $105 to almost $300!!! While I realize that name brand memory is more...I am confused at such a wide price range for basically the same thing.

Is there anywhere to get a better understanding of what I should get?

Thanks!
