I'm going to try to build my first gaming computer come Nov or Dec. But I know very little. So if someone could point me to some resources to look at that'd be awesome. I'm expecting to have about a thousand dollars come black Friday weekend.
Thank you in advance.

Also I'm currently running ski gtx 460s. I do run two monitors but the 2nd is really just for browsing/watching videos while gaming.

If your going to put it together in November-December I would wait until then to look for parts, new things will come out, and old things will get cheaper

I was more looking for guides on what I need. What I don't need. How to tell what I'm looking at. For example do I need a network adapter card to use my cable internet or is it on the mb already?

Motherboard usually do not come with wireless unless they say so. I put my first build together this fall, I looked around on youtube and found lots of good guides. I know newegg has a 3 part series, and linustechtips is also a reliable source of information
