Hello,

The case will be the NZXT H700i White. As i already got a Asus Z370-F with an i7-8700K overclocked to 4.8Ghz i plan on changing the Noctua-DH15 to the Corsair H150i push/pull which will be mounted in front of the case with 3x LL120 RGB Corsair fans in the inside and 3x Noctua NF-12 fans on the outside/front. My GTX 980 oc will be replaced by the Asus Strix 1080 Advanced. The Samsung 970 Evo 500GB will replace my current boot drive, the samsung 750 evo 250gb.
With this i will have 3 SSD's in my rig. For exhaust i choose the LL140 RGB Corsair fans, 2 on the top and 1 in the back.

Will all of this be fine and fit or do i need to change some things ? And can i expect good cooling as some people say that the nzxt cases are mediocre in cooling ?

Honestly, the Noctua DH15 is one of the best coolers on the market. Going with a H150i wont see much of an improvement. But the H150i will be a lot louder than the Noctua. Push/pull wont matter at all.

I don't have a H700i and it is a fairly new case. But the reviews are really good for it and NZXT makes good products. I have a Phanteks Enthoo Luxe and it is a wonderful case that is very water cooling friendly. It also has an attic on the top of the case for push/pull configurations and it will fit the H150i. It is something to consider.

I also have a Fractal Design Define r6. It is a great case, but it is more geared toward sound dampening than cooling. So it is a lot quieter than the Phanteks, but it is a little warmer.

As far as fans, I really like the corsair ml pro fans. They are both static pressure and high air flow fans, so you can put them anywhere and they work great. They are also quite as well.

1) Why would you want to swap your excellent nd-h15 with an h150i pro with six(6!) fans? You won't see much of an improvement especially if your CPU is not delidded. And it would be much louder!
2) Wait for the new 1100 series, don't buy a 1080 now, not worth it.
3) This is really unnecessary, unless you have very heavy workloads.
4) Your case is more than adequate in terms on cooling, anything with 2 intake and 2 exhaust fans is more than enough unless you have a really high-end system.

check out the fractal R6
Why you unhappy with the d15? according to tweaktown its the same performance. It will be less reliable.

feelinfroggy, if you can (and havent already), swap the 2x 140mm at front with 3x 120mm (preferably the new a12x25)

Also i should say that they might have improved but in 2015 i built a ton of NZXT cases at work and would regularly find threaded screws & more of than not have to push the back in to fit GPUs.

Their build quality is not up to par with Fractal's (which is superb). I have to commend them on their push for design though. (im function over form - i dont care how it looks as long as it works well)

A waste of money, I think.

Your case is excellent.
The 3 supplied 120mm front fans will draw in all the cooling air you need.
All the air that comes in the front will exit somewhere, taking heat with it.
If you need more airflow, that is the time to increase the rpm of the intake fans(at the expense of more noise)
The single rear exhaust is also good.
The noctua NH-D15 is an outstanding cooler that is also quiet.
Your limit to an OC will be the quality of your 8700K chip, not cooling.
Liquid cooling is really air cooling, it just puts the heat exchange in a different place.
The orientation of the radiator will cause a problem.
If you orient it to take in cool air from the outside, you will cool the cpu better, but the hot air then circulates inside the case heating up the graphics card and motherboard.
If you orient it to exhaust(which I think is better) , then your cpu cooling will be less effective because it uses pre heated case air.
Past that, A AIO radiator complicates creating a positive pressure filtered cooling setup which can keep your parts clean.
And... I have read too many tales of woe when a liquid cooler leaks.
Google for AIO leaks to see what can happen.
While unlikely, leaks do happen.

The case is going to stand on my desk as i currently have it on the floor. The Noctua NH-D15 is just ugly therefore i wanted to switch it out with the H150i and i've seen alot of videos with only 3 fans in the front or back but it seems like push/pull is going to be the best performance. The CPU is delidded and will it be that much louder? On the corsair site it claimes that it is about 25dba or am i missing something? The fans won't run at full power.

2. I don't really have the money to buy/wait for the new series as they probably be over 800+ and the 1080 asus version for about 570 (euro) in my country seems like a good price for good performance.

3. I plan on rendering alot, does that count?

4. It's more about the aesthetic than it is about cooling, i know that it will be enough (except the push/pull as i never had an aio before).

There needs to be replica plastic light show boxes than have mirrors and emit smoke so people can stick their pcs under the desk, being quiet and doing their job.
They can even play a midi version of the final countdown song when you boot the pc.

Can i ask how the H150i will be alot louder than the Noctua DH-15? Is it the aio itself or the fans mounted on it?

I think those fans come with the H150i but i still choose the LL140/120 RGB fans as i have my case on the desk and these look really cool therefore i wanted to switch out the noctua cooler for the h150 as it's just ugly...

No accounting for looks/taste; do what you wish.
To me, pretty is as pretty does.

fans spin and anything that spins will make noise.
The 3 120mm fans on the H115 need to run a bit faster to be able to push air through the radiator.
The air will be pre heated coming from inside the case, making the cooling a bit less efficient.

If the color of the noctua fans is a bother, you could change them out for something you like.

I cant argue with you on the looks of the Noctua cooler. Noctua coolers are just plain ugly in my opinion. The H150i will be louder than the air cooler because of the pump. Pumps on AIO coolers are very loud.

Yes, the h150i does come with the corsair ml 120mm fans. They are very good fans. I have the pro ml fans, which add led and they have rubber feet to keep sound down. But in the end, sound dampening does not do much unless it is on your loudest component. If it were me and I was gonna run push/pull and wanted RGB fans, then I would buy the RGB fans that I want and use the ml 120mm fans that come with the AIO and not spend the money on the 3 Noctua NF-12 fans for the push/pull.

Sound is not linear. 1 + 1 does not equal 2. So if you have a part that is 40db and another part that is 38db, you don't have 78db. In reality, it is closer to 41db. The point is, you can get the quietest fans on earth, and if your pump is running at 40db, then your still gonna have 40db.

For me, the sound is not that important for gaming because I will have a headset on or the volume up pretty high.

theres these plate covers from noctua for the D15 you can get in a few colours.

also, keep in mind that the noctua has indefinite lifespan. noctua will ship you out future socket mounts if required, free of charge, anywhere in world.
their fans are guaranteed for 6 years.

That pump will fail sometime. People have torn AIOs down after a while and you see all gunk and stuff in there. Also chance of leak.

Does the Noctua cooler even fit in the nzxt h700i ? It's pretty big in my current case already and the h700i is smaller.
