Building my first PC and need some advice about these parts.

Can someone tell me if these parts are compatible and if they will get good performance on new-ish games, thank you in advance!

Recommend you upgrade your cpu to an i5 if you can for more future-proofing, but original parts should work perfectly.

Definitely worth doing because of the performance increase from 2 to 4 cores. You will just need to make sure that you get a 6th gen i5 for compatibility. Sorry if you already knew that but you said it was your first build.

I'm currently on Ivy Bridge (i5 3350P) and yep quite old haha. Waiting for Ryzen to unveil so I can choose between Ryzen or Kabylake i7 7700K.

My mistake, I didn't see that. If you find a new motherboard, just ask for one of us to check its compatibility first.

Thanks guys for the tips, but a 6th Gen i5 and a better motherboard(?) would probably push my budget higher than I'd like, so I will probably upgrade later on. Thanks again!
