Building my own compact CPU heatsink

Hello,

I'm building my own compact CPU heatsink with a copper plate for the CPU and heat pipes attached to an aluminum heatsink. I intend to put it together with thermal glue.

I'm looking for a copper plate or block. Is there an optimal thickness?

Upon obtaining 2-3-4 current commercial products that do exactly this, and reverse engineering them...what does your research show in relation to that thing you've found at AliExpress?

How high is "compact"
What is the make/model of the case?

It would probably be more economical to simply buy a low profile cooler.

I need a new cooler for my laptop CPU. It's running too hot after I upgraded the CPU.

I looked into low profile coolers but they are still too big.

I was thinking of 15mm for the height max, not including fan.

Also, I'm modifying the laptop case.
