I am considering the following
ASUS P7P55D
Core i7 860
I am planning to get 4G, (kit of 2)which RAM would be ideal:
Kingston KHX1333C7D3K2/4GX
or
Kingston KHX1600C8D3K2/4GX
I am not planning to overclock anything. I believe the second (1600 is dual channel), not sure if the 1333 is. I'm not really sure if dual channel makes a big difference??
Any advice is appreciated. Or if there is a better RAM choice I am open to suggestions

Thanks
Eric

Dual channel is dependant on your board chipset, not the memory. Just use 2 or 4 of the same ram and you'll be fine. I've used corsair, crucial, pny, pqi, samsung, patriot, and kingston. All should work fine. I don't manually set the timings to match the specs unless it gives you bluescreens, but check the voltage of the ram. You might need to bump up the voltage to 1.6 if required.
