My mom wants a new computer. I want something that is around $400 that will be usable for checking facebook, doing lots of paperwork, and storing files. I also want something that will last quite a long time. It needs to run smoothly when clicking through browsers and watching videos. Should I just buy a stock computer?

that looks pretty good, but if you're not doing any gaming or rendering you really don't need a video card.

That seems pretty good. Like the person above told you, you do not really need a graphic card. I would get a slightly better CPU and not bother with a graphic card if what your mother does is what you told us. I would get the AMD FX-8300 over the AMD FX-6200.
