Yeah, it has the SI3114 four channel chip, instead of the 3112 two channel
chip found on the IC7-G. That, and the OTES cooling system is the basis for
my comment about the IC7 Max 3 offering very slightly more future-proofing
than the IC7-G.
Incidentally, the Max3 comes packaged with a SecureIDE encryption interface.
Ironically though, it is a parallel ATA device and can't be run through a
Serillel. Kinda defeats the object of having it, don'tcha think?! 🙂
