Burn VCD from hard drive

I recently purchased instantCD/DVD. This allows me to record inline
to VCD format. There are two options: straight to CD or to the hard
drive. After several failed attempts at burning the inline recording
straight to CD, I succeeded in burning the files to my hard drive.
The documentation is less than clear on how to move this set of files
to a CD. I have several questions about resolving this. Any help
will be appreciated.

Can I just copy the files in the directory to a CD?

Do I mount the image to the virtual drive that InstantCD/DVD creates
and then copy it from there?

Should I just save imported video as AVI and then convert it using
some other software (I have Microsoft Movie Maker, Pinnacle Studio 8,
MyDVD, and the aforemention InstantCD/DVD)?

Thanks again.

Unlikely ... a VCD is more than just a collection of files and folders.
The disk is also formatted differetnly than a 'regular' CD. If you had a
working VCD you could copy all the files and folders over to your hard
drive .. remove the VCD and put in a blank CD .. record all the files and
folders onto the CD .. and you would not have a new/copy VCD .. all you
would have is a CD with a bunch of files and folders on it.

Dunno, I know nothing about that program.

VCD needs mpg1 files .. a specific type of mpg file .. not AVI. You
program should be saving your video in VCD compliant mpg format. Something
like Roxio EZ-CD Creator, or NERO can burn a VCD with those files. Studio
8 should also be able to import the mpg file I think but it's buggy.

Thanks for the reply. I'll try to re-import it as MPG. That seems to
be the best solution.
