Hello all. I want to stream. I used to stream via my PS4 however I have since stopped. I wanted to see if my system would be ok to stream and play PubG (low, 1080p) at the same time at 60fps. I currently run PubG at 75-80fps average at 1080p professional settings (everything low, anti-aliasing high). I will be using OBS. Here are my specs:

Z97 Gigabyte MoBo
Intel Core i3 4160 3.6ghz (2core 4thread)
16gb DDR3 1600mhz memory
Asus GTX 670 2Gb gddr5
750w Antec PSU
2x 120gb ssd
1tb hdd

I'd be surprised if it didn't gut your performance. You don't have any spare GPU or CPU headroom. I'm not a streaming expert but usually you need spare cpu or GPU power to do it effectively

I doubt youll get an acceptable streaming experience on that system.
Additionally, even if you could stream it, its not likely people would stick around to watch the game on low settings.

Although the answers I received are awesomely savage. I have to say, thanks for the fast responses. If I were to upgrade something in order to boost my streaming performance, what should I upgrade?

A 4790k would be a great choice and be both compatible and overclockable in your motherboard look in the used market for it.


Something like a rx580/480

Or gtx 1060 would help as well

I would highly recommend the processor upgrade first if you plan to stream.

You can stream perfectly with your current setup as long as you use the GPU or iGPU to do so,OBS supports both qsv(intel) and nvenc(nvidia) both methods have next to no effect on the CPU,and minimal effect on the GPU.
