I was wondering if I should buy a printer server to print my stuff wirelessly
to my home computer, or update my Windows XP Home Edition to Professional so
I can use the Remote Desktop, then wireless print from there. Which one is a
better?

Where is the computer you want to use to send print jobs? How is the
printer connected? If you have a wireless network at home, you can use
Remote Desktop from the remote computer, but your first alternative, if
I understand it correctly, can't work unless the remote computer is
within range of the home network (a few hundred feet at most).

You can "share" the printer on your home computer, then add the printer as a
"Network Printer" on the laptop.

You can do this with XP Home; you don't need XP Professional or any
additional hardware.

It is perfectly useless to know the right answer to the wrong question.
