im building a pc on black friday/cyber monday and was wondering if i should buy a gtx 750ti/r9 270(i dont mind playing games on lower settings for the time being) and wait for Amd's 20nm gpus or just get a gtx 970. So basically should i get a cheap temporary card that can play games decently and wait for Amd's new gpus or just straight up get a gtx 970? i will be gaming on 1080p 60hz. Ultimately i'm trying to future proof as much as possible. Also how much better will broadwell be compared to haswell? is broadwell worth waiting for? Is amd's 20nm gpus worth waiting for? Thanks.

These will be my specs
i7 4790k
16gb ram
wat gpu?

300 series are defenitely worth waiting for... they will be cheaper and powerful than the nvidia 900 series... but the cards will release late.. i think in summer.. cpu wise broadwell will be futureproof and ok

I wish you meant the Australian summer!

Get a cheap card and wait for more G-sync/FreeSync monitors to arrive then decide on going 300 or 900.

for 60hz ,1080P a 270X or 270 will work wonders in ultra/High for now and High/Mid in the future.

Btw you can look into used cards like 680 or 280X.
