Yes, it is a bit worrying... Pretty visuals paired with iffy gameplay do not a AAA title make.

Good idea for a game btw.. You could call it "Spot the loser".

EA has slowly been building up on my shitlist. First they started steering UO to get more of the EQ crowd by making it a gear grind. Then they bought out Mythic and rushed War before it was finished out the door. Lastly they have turned BF3 into essentially a subscription model. With how fast their DLC packs are releasing you are forced to buy them otherwise you will just get kicked form servers running those maps.

EA is buried in the shit hole for me... that being said I like CnC and since its F2P I will try it. I will not buy in the cash shop and I am fully expecting it to be Pay2Win and full of Wallet Warriors. If i had to spend money on it I would pass. It will most likely give me some free entertainment before the aforementioned bad game design sets in!

I don't hate EA. They're a company, like any other company. They'll have some hits, and they'll have some misses. I'm not gonna call them a dying company or any thing like that because their sales suggest that even if you take out the "brand loyalists" and the like you still have a very large number who seem to enjoy their games. I will say that this game was exciting when I very first heard about it.

I first saw my cousin playing Generals and it became an instant hit for me. Heck, I have it on TWO different discs right now, and have it installed on desktop right now. EA has completely ruined the sequel to one of, if not the, best C&C games ever. Me and my brother actually liked the last Red Alert game. It wasn't a complete blockbuster, but it was really good. They completely and utterly **** all over the Tiberian finale. That was an utterly disgusting way for them to end the Tiberian series. That looks like the continuation of the real cliff drop that started with C&C 4.

I do not hate EA. I will not claim that I will never ever buy another EA game. But I will say that this game is a pass for me until I hear something REALLY different that convinces me this is a good game worth my time.

I once read an article after crysis came out back in '07 that said developers no longer need to make sophisticated games to make sales, just implement spectacular graphics with cheap gameplay and they will sell still, cutting costs and increasing revenue.

Sad but true :/

1st when i saw the announcement Generals 2 with Frostbite 2 i was extremely excited but that didnt take long, crushed and blured everything about CnCG2 to be F2P...

EA...... u suck

I really do not care witch studio releases a game as long as it is good. And for me Bioware and EA have some really good games with excellent game play and graphics to me that is what matters. Every Command and Conquer to date has been great and I do not see that changing. Whether free to play or not if it has a single player game that is what matters. I have no use for multiplayer or lan play of any kind. So the only way they could mess it up would be to remove the single player as that is the only part of any game that is worth playing period the end. There has not been any game ever released with anything that should entice anyone to play multieplayer for any reason at all it just has no appeal what so ever.

This is just unbelievable on so many levels... Are you serious? C&C games (RA 1&2, C&C3 and Generals come to mind) are some of the best multiplayer games I've ever played. Besides, good multiplayer is the lifeblood of a game, and what ultimately helps it establish a solid community player base. It stretches the longevity of the game far beyond the duration of a single player campaign. RTS games just beg to be played with friends.
