[SOLVED] Can´t change refresh rate to 144hz

Hi everyone, Im having a problem where both windows (in Advanced display settings) and the Nvidia Control Panel, dont offer me the option to select a 144hz refresh rate, only 60hz. I have a asus VG248QE and a recently bought RTX 2080 super founders edition. They are connected using a DVI Dual cable but with the display port adapter to connect to the GPU. Been troubleshooting for almost 2 hours and still havent found a solution. Could you guys help me out? Its driving me crazy lol.

Displayport to dvi adapter is probably single link and limited to 60Hz. Dual link active adapters is what's needed and they are like $100. Your monitor has Displayport, get a DP to DP cable.
