I have a a320 board, supporting only 2666hz. Can i run a 3200hz stick at its full speed?

a320m pro 4, ryzen 5 1600x.

Memory support on that board depends entirely on which CPU you have installed. As indicated here:

  • AMD Ryzen series CPUs (Matisse) support DDR4 3200/2933/2667/2400/2133 ECC & non-ECC, un-buffered memory*
  • AMD Ryzen series CPUs (Matisse) support DDR4 3200/2933/2667/2400/2133 ECC & non-ECC, un-buffered memory*
  • AMD Ryzen series CPUs (Picasso) support DDR4 2933/2667/2400/2133 non-ECC, un-buffered memory*
  • AMD Ryzen series CPUs (Pinnacle Ridge) support DDR4 3200+(OC)/2933(OC)/2667/2400/2133 ECC & non-ECC, un-buffered memory*
  • AMD Ryzen series CPUs (Summit Ridge) support DDR4 3200+(OC)/2933(OC)/2667/2400/2133 ECC & non-ECC, un-buffered memory*
  • AMD Ryzen series CPUs (Raven Ridge) support DDR4 3200+(OC)/2933/2667/2400/2133 non-ECC, un-buffered memory*
  • AMD 7th Gen A-Series APUs support DDR4 2400/2133 non-ECC, un-buffered memory*

So in your case, you have an R5 1600 which is a Summit Ridge CPU, and it support UP TO 3200mhz, IF the memory is compatible with your motherboard based on the compatibility listed for the memory kit on the memory manufacturers website (G.Skill memory configurator, Corsair memory finder, etc.) and if you use only two DIMMs and if you enable XMP in the BIOS. Otherwise, memory support will default to 2133mhz.
