Can 4k monitors convert to lower 1440p with 144hz?

I was gonna purchase XB321HK 32 inch 4k monitor. I was wondering can these 4k monitors go down to 1440p display at 144hz?

The monitor only supports a given refresh rate no matter the resolution, yours is 60hz, now some monitors can be overclocked a few hertz but I don't think it is worth messing with.

you might be able to get a huge overclock on that monitor because the pixelclock for 4k@60 is much high than 1440@60. however it is not guaranteed and might damage the panel. 144hz overclock is a little doubtfull if it's a 60hz panel.
