[SOLVED] Can a 1070 work with a 450w psu?

Just bought a gigabyte 1070 windforce oc gpu very recently at a good price but just realized that it requires a 500w psu and I only have a 450w psu. Would it still function? Can it run? Sure. Should you run it? Absolutely not, replace that psu asap. It has no business with modern pcs.

You should be looking at a 550W reliably built PSU for the entire system.

Seriously tho, it will depend on the PSU and the 1070. But the general recommnedation is not to do it.

The EVGA W3 series are very low quality and don't belong in any gaming system. You need a better quality PSU of 550 watts. If you need a budget model, the Corsair CX550 can do the job.
