I currently in the process of building a new rig, and was wondering whether my single 970, would be enough to power 2 Monitors running at 144Hz?

The monitors I will be using are the Asus VG248QE, one used for gaming such as League of Legends, CS:GO, Call of Duty and Far Cry. The other used for scrolling through social medias, watching videos, listening to music and any other normal things gamers do on their second monitor, whilst playing their game.

Will it be possible for my GPU to run both monitors at 144Hz, one when 'in game' and the other scrolling social medias, whilst maintaining a strong FPS during gaming? And would it be worth it? I ask as I've seen very mixed opinions and wanted to know for certain.

Build;

CPU: i7 4790K
GPU: MSi GTX 970 4GB
Mobo: MSi Gaming 3 LGA1150
Cooler: Corsair H60
PSU: Corsair CX600M
RAM: Corsair Vengeance Pro 8GB (2x4GB)
Storage: Samsung Evo 850 250GB

I can't speak from to much experience but my cousin has a 144Hz main panel and a 60Hz side panel for browsing and other stuff and from what he's said and what I saw while using the setup for a short time you won't notice to much of a difference. The only big difference would be unless they are the same panel the color representation. One monitor might have better color/viewing angles than the other. If that's going to bother you than get the same monitors if you think you could live with that then go for the lower refresh rate monitor for your second screen. If money is the issue than I would go with a lower refresh rate screen imo and save a little.
It should be, but if you are just going to browse, why the hell go for 144hz on the second one? Just get a normal 60hz monitor and use that, even with the integrated GPU of the 4790k so that no power is drawn from your gtx 970 and it can focus on gaming. 144hz is mainly for gaming, when it comes to scrolling it's pointless.

This is the trouble, I've had so many mixed opinions with having 144Hz monitor for browsing and watching videos. Some say It's a hell of a lot smoother and is much more enjoyable to use, and some say using a 144Hz monitor for browsing is pointless as it's tough to see the benefits of it as appose to a 60Hz monitor.

Solution
Oh and to answer your main question is yes it will handle them just fine. I'm using a GTX780 which is equivalent to your gpu and I run dual monitors right off my card with no problems at all. I was using the iGPU of my CPU but I didn't want to use hdmi anymore. Now they're both running off my gpu with DVI and I've never had an issue.

Thank you for clarifying, just had a slight concern due to many people saying I may need to run a better GPU to enable myself to run 2 x 144Hz monitors. I will probably settle for both monitors Asus VG248QE's as I like my set up to be as aesthetically pleasing as possible! Will probably run 1 at 144Hz which i'll use to game and record, then on the other monitor will be used to browse! Thank you for helping!
