VRAM, GDDR6 is much faster than DDR4 or even 5 memory bandwidth wider than RAM>CPU so fast cache wouldn't help much.

It would help some, though, right? Correct me if I’m wrong, but wasn’t more cache a big part of the performance uplift from amphere to Lovelace?

Those are data center GPUs, doing a lot of calculations but not for picture generation.
