Can an NVMe M.2 samsung 970 evo v-nand ssd be installed on ASUS G10AC motherboard

What specific motherboard and CPU is in it?

But if there is no M.2 port and you need an adapter to connect that drive...chances are 50/50 for actual use as the boot drive.

I am just looking for additional ssd not specifically to boot from it...

For just a secondary drive, sure.
I have a somewhat similar NVMe drive as a secondary in a PCIe adapter in my system.

I have an Intel 660p in this adapter:
