XFX R7 240A CLF2 graphics card in a Windows 7 PC.

I have an unusual display - an older Sony plasma that will accept HDTV formats - either 1080i or 720p on the RGB input. When I go into the Catalyst Control center, on the RGB output there is no option for 1080i HDTV format output, and when I try to create one (1080x1920 interlaced, 30Hz) it does not let me - after I put in the values and hit verify the values revert to what they were before.

Is there a way to configure this GPU for 1080i HDTV on the RGB output?

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Thanks, but this is not an answer for the question I asked.

The display inputs RGB through a VGA connector, so I don't need to convert anything. This is a graphics card configuration issue.

By the way, both of the adapters you link only work with specific graphics cards that support the specific output formats - you can't just connect them to any graphics card - and they both output component video, not RGB. There are a lot of confused vendors selling these adapters and they don't know what they are selling. You do know the difference between RGB video and component video, right?

I contacted the graphics card manufacturer, XFX, and they suggested changing the timing setting, which allowed the new format be be accepted.

For reference, on the R7 & other Radeon graphics cards, use CVT reduced blanking, if trying to set the RGB (VGA) output to 1920x1080 interlaced 30Hz HDTV format.
