Will this cooler be able to cool i7 870 on Turbo Boost mode 3.6ghz and will it do the job i got recommendedthis cooler from people here on site but i saw that it keeps r3 3600 on 80C 100% load and i7 is 95tdp and r5 is 65 so is ryzen hotter or intel i7 870 and will it work properlly

Solution
Intel and AMD don't use exactly the same measurement methodology.

Intel's TDP is based on the base clock. So 95W @ 2.93Ghz. Much higher power draw at 3.6Ghz.

Ryzen 5 3600 similarly runs 3.6Ghz base clock and up to 4.2Ghz boost. It should draw 65W at base clock. Not sure what you were looking at, perhaps an all core overclock to 4.1Ghz or something.

Ambient temperature and case airflow are also important factors.

I've used a Gammaxx 400 on an i7-4790 with good success, that was an 84W TDP.

so is it going to do the job atleast on base clock?

It is considered one of the better budget CPU coolers. Not much else to say really.

I wouldn't spend any more than that for that system, but if you plan on upgrading eventually then you could always spend more on an even better CPU cooler.
