I'm looking into buying the new Dell P2415Q 4K IPS monitor for my design work. Wondering if a GTX 750 ti can do 4K @ 60hz, can't seem to find any info on this.

I have the EVGA 750 ti Sc in my pc and it has Dp1.2

Yeah I'd be buying the Graphics Card specifically for the displayport connection, my motherboard and current gpu don't have one, I'm just wondering if DP 1.2a is the standard on these cards, there's no mention of it anywhere.

HDMI 2.0 can do 60 hz, however, that card will struggle to maintain 60 FPS in any demanding applications at 4K resolution.

I would say that it would be able to play video fine at 60 hz though.

Good question.
Yes, the GTX750ti can output at 4k resolution, and since it has a DP output, it should be capable of 60hz.
What is in question is if the card has sufficient power to display fast moving images at such a fast rate.
If your app was a shooter game, then I would say no way can you get 60fps. You would need dual strong cards for that.
But, for a relatively static hi res output, I think you will be fine.
When you are dragging windows around, you will probably see some effects.

Intel's IGP can support 4K over DP, so I think a GTX 750 ti will be fine for video playback and editing. I only game every so often so I'd just game in 1080p.

Thanks!

Hi m8. GTX750ti is a nice mid-range gpu. Its a gpu much more than it looks and its really promising. I have the same gpu in one of my builds and im also using it with some design softwares. im really glad about its performance for such a cool price tag. im giving you the link from directly GeForce website and there is no way that you can find more details than its own website. also if you scroll down that page there you'll see a chart of "3D mark fire strike" performance comparison of some other gpu's. But im not sure if there are differences between brands. all i can do is to suggest ASUS as a brand for more reliability rather than Evga or MSI. Also be sure to get GTX750ti 2GB OC 128bit model. Because it has 1GB model too.

I hope this helps a bit. :)
