In my opinion, console and pc GPU and CPU are not equal as most console use modified version suited for the play, also each and every game is completely tested on the same hardware that is console so framerate can be guaranteed, bugs can be identified and there is a way. But in case of PC I believe it has myriad of different parts that perform better than ps4 but is not completely optimized, even if we had a gpu that is comparable to ps4 GPU, it's cpu is more streamlined for games and that's just it no background programs, so it's too many factors at work when comparing pc and consoles, Now don't get me wrong I'm not a console player, I'm a pc player and built a pc myself, enjoying the built one but I think optimization in itself is good because all the games the console players get is playable (not very sure on that though) but in pc there needs to be some graphics tweaking to make it playable unless you had a beast of a cpu and graphics card, that's why consoles don't have graphics settings, they are already modified and don't need any graphics settings change, in conclusion I think both are good in thier own ways, players who want to game alone may do good with a console I think because the recent surge prices of graphics card it's hard to buil a budget build nowadays, or if you take gaming just as a side activity and mainly would like pc to do something else you can go for pc
