Can I boot from 960 Evo?

Hi, I currently have a Gigabyte Z97P-D3 and want to buy a 960 Evo. My motherboard does not have a M.2 slot so I will buy an adapter to run the SSD. Will this be compatible and will I be able to boot directly from it?

It may support it, since BIOS F6 supports NVME

Update the BIOS to F8 first. Dont flash the latest, since it's a beta. Just make sure you get the right BIOS for the revision of your mobo

It wouldn;t hurt to contact Gigabyte support and ask them first. Though I suspect it worked with PCIE hard drives before, so it should with an adapter.
