Can I buy another dual channel kit for a ram upgrade?

Hi,
A few weeks ago I bought the Kingston HyperX Fury 2x4 GB set (DDR4 2133 (PC4 17000) Desktop Memory Model HX421C14FBK2/8 is the exact model on Newegg).
Can I buy another one of these kits and install them into my PC to have 4 sticks, or do I need to sell the two that I have and then buy a 4x4 GB kit if I want 16 GB and to fill up all the ram slots?

You can try. Mixing RAM is always a gamble. A matched set of 4 DIMMs has been tested by the manufacturer together and is guaranteed to work as a set. Anything else you are on your own.

Thanks. I found a set on Newegg that was listed to work with X99 chipsets, but I'm Z170. Would it work? Here's a link: http://

If you google that part number and Z170, you will see that some Z170 motherboard makers have that exact part number on their qualified list. It should be OK on a Z170.

Those should work fine, but would be best on Z170 to go with a 2x8GB set, it's less stress on the MC (memory controller)
