Even if I could change it, would it not be worth it?Probably not.
While you might be able to change to a different CPU in the same physical socket, the rest of the laptop has to support it. Motherboard and BIOS.
And due to the age and probable minimal changes, any new CPU is not even worth the time to do it, even if you had a new one for $0.
