can i change swap my mothereboard without affecting my os?

Solution

No.
If it boots up with the new hardware, it may simply fail to activate itself. This is when you go through the Activation Troubleshooter, as noted above.

If it fails to boot...this is when you do a wipe and reinstall. And then the activation again.
If it's tied to a Microsoft Account it will reactivate without issue. If not you might need to use the Automated Call activation.

You can use your media or create a new USB.

Setup a Microsoft Account and link your current PC to it , then backup whatever you want to save and perform a clean install on your new setup and activate it with your Microsoft account from within windows. Skip the key entry during setup and activate it from within windows with the registered Microsoft Account.

You don't have to buy a new OS.
You may/probably will have to reinstall the OS.

Read and do this before you change any parts:

MS is pretty fuzzy on the specifics, and it is also the frequency.
Change the GPU? No problem. Change the GPU and LAN adapter every day, twice a day....before long it would probably trigger a reactivation.

Change the motherboard...reactivation.
