[SOLVED] Can I change the plug of my laptop charger?

My laptop charger is broken and I want to solder a new plug from another laptop charger(a cheaper one)
They both fit my laptop but but the cheaper one charges more slowly.
Would this be ok?

This should be the same through all chargers with that type of end plug (Cylinder) If your case is simply that you will solder a slimmer, fatter one, it would work.If done properly.

Other option is universal notebook charger with maybe 20 different plugs for all brands of ntb.
