Not sure if this is the correct subforum, and not exactly sure how to explain my issue, but I'll try...
I have a computer in room A. There is an ethernet cable between room A and B. I want to be able to connect the computer both to a TV in room B via HDMI. I would also like to connect the computer to microphone and webcam in room B via USB. Is there a way to do this?
Today, the computer is connected to a rj45-switch (which connects to another TV and a chromecast) which is again connected to a router in room A. From that router, I have an ethernet cable to room B. (5e I think, and the distance is about 30').
Are there some components I can buy to add so I can get both HDMI and USB-hub in room B? I have heard about an ethernet-HDMI adapter. Is there something similar for USB? Will it work with the switch and the router? Or should I run the computer on wifi and connect directly from the computer to room B? Or is there a way to solve this more easily wirelessly?
