Can I cut my evga 8800 GTX? I need to cut it so it can fit in my Dell Optiplex 755. I have already cut a slot for the other bracket, it will fit in, I just need to cut it because it is hitting 2 capacitors there. Which Cut line will work? Also, i'm only cutting the plastic cover, its only hitting the capacitors at little.

the plastic cover wont come off. its stuck on at the top.

Good video, I remember now when I had to clean my old EVGA 8800GT, I was using Arctic Silver 5 to place it back, good find.
Not a big deal, just get Isopropyl alcohol (or rubbing alcohol) for cleaning parts from old paste and Arctic Silver 5, to place it back.
When you cut, you will have to cut a bit of shroud, I hope you are using dremel for this job.

He had done one cut already without chainsaw, he can do another one, stop joking, he is really serious, I was in his shoes before.

Ok, I did not see the screws under the cover, but when I was peeling some of it off to take out the screws, the Nvida cover (or whatever its called) was under the Evga one. Is that supposed to be like that? Anyway, its cut and it needed to be cut somewhere else too, but I got it in, using it right now! MUCH faster that that piece of crap GT 610 low profile I originally used. And yes, I used a Dremel.

Good video, last time I cleaned my faithful 8800GT was more than a year ago, it is now retired in garbage.
However, I remember taking plastic cover away only, and maybe once, disassembling it completely, so I forgot all steps by now.

Good job anyway, congrads.
